i just followed michael ian black and while going through his posts saw reference to a website called “girl. camera. mirror.” i (of course) followed the link and i (of course) saw a bunch of sad girls in front of mirrors taking photos of themselves in various levels of nudity.
the mood of the site made me feel, well, sad. here are these girls in their parents bathroom taking photos of their bodies to post on the internet. no artistic twist, no beauty, just legs propped up on toilets in order to get a vag shot in the mirror past dad’s shaving cream.
like i said, it made me sad. however, it also made me think of the one and only time i took a photo of myself in a mirror and what a loser i am that it was because i had given myself a hair beard while alone in a room of an open house using a vintage tint on an iphone app.
totally abe lincoln, right?!
